UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health

As medicine has become increasingly compartmentalized, medical treatment has lost touch with caring for each of us as a whole person.

The Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of California San Francisco, offers a holistic approach to health, healing, and prevention by integrating modern medicine with established traditional medicine practices from around the world, such as acupuncture, meditation, and Ayurvedic Medicine.

A visit to the Osher Center focuses on a patient's overall wellness and health—physical, psychological, social, and spiritual—rather than solely on a specific disease. The Center also performs scientific research on the efficacy of integrative approaches to health, and educates students, health professionals and the public about Integrative Medicine.
