This initiative opened on July 1, 2005. The Althea Foundation provided the seed capital and continues to fund the initiative in a variety of ways. The aim of the program is to develop a new model of mental health care that brings together relevant experts the community - both public and private - to create, study and improve models of prevention, diagnosis and treatment in order to advance the standard of care and accessibility for those who are most vulnerable.
